On Thursday 15 May, Navy Wings hosted our annual Swordfish Golf Tournament for our Corporate Partners at Bowood Golf course and Spa in Wiltshire.
We had 19 teams at the Swordfish Golf day this year who once again enjoyed the sunshine. We had new teams from Denholm Services, The Aero Golf Society, Quick Release and Wadworth’s Brewery along with our long-standing supporters Leonardo Helicopters, MBDA, GKN, Thales, Aviation Requirements, FAAOA, Chemring Countermeasures and Wholeship Ltd.
We were treated to a Fly past by the Navy Wings Swordfish piloted by Lt Cdr Glenn Allison and the usual outstanding hospitality of Bowood’s catering, Pro Shop and Green staff with the course being in spectacular condition.
The slightly overcast start to the day and ‘cool’ breeze did nothing to deter the great spirits of everyone involved. The sunshine broke through and everyone enjoyed a great day, whether their golf score reflected that or not!
The Swordfish Trophy was won this year by Aviation Requirements with 96 points! They retained the trophy they won in 2024!
Our second place team was GKN with 93 points.
MBDA’s team placed third with 92 points.
