On Thursday 9 May, Navy Wings hosted our annual Swordfish Golf Tournament for our corporate partners at Bowood Golf course and Spa in Wiltshire.

Our corporate partners and some invited guests entered 20 teams this year and enjoyed the very best of the British springtime with glorious sunshine all day. The course, as always, was in beautiful condition and our teams played a relaxed and sociable round on the PGA course followed by a fly past from the Navy Wings Harvard.

We have a real mix of golfing abilities amongst the competitors who enjoyed a welcome chance to spend time with colleagues and friends. The day was a  great success, raising nearly £2,000 in donations for Navy Wings. The team at Bowood looked after our guests with their usual exceptional hospitality in a truly stunning venue which always makes for a thoroughly enjoyable day for our Corporate partners.

The Swordfish Trophy was won this year by Aviation Requirements who beat last year’s champions Wholeship Ltd by just 1 point!

Our second place team – Wholeship

Standard Aero’s team placed third in a very tight competition for the top three places.

The Longest Drive competitions were won by Glen Raeburn and Olivia Trewhela.

Nearest the pin competitions winners were Wayne Powell, Nick Osbourne, Olivia Trewhela and Ed Campbell.

Congratulations to all our prize winners and thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event.
