Networking Events
Our annual networking dinner is held in central London is restricted to only 150 guests with Industry leaders and Senior serving military.
This event is the perfect opportunity to make those essential connections and relax and catch up with friends and colleagues. Our partner feedback reflects what a unique and valuable addition to your networking events our dinner has become.
This exclusive dinner was attended in 2025 by Senior MOD Senior officers and Leaders in the defence industry including the Second Sea Lord, Director Navy Acquisition, ACOS Capability Strategy and Director Force Generation.
The Swordfish Trophy was won this year by Aviation Requirements, who beat last year’s champions Wholeship Ltd by just 1 point! Standard Aero’s team came in third place in a very tight competition overall for the top three places.
The Longest Drive competitions were won by Glen Raeburn and Olivia Trewhela. Nearest the pin competitions winners were Wayne Powell, Nick Osbourne, Olivia Trewhela and Ed Campbell.
Congratulations to all our prize winners and thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event.
Inspiring and Supporting the Next Generation
Our Young Engineer awards are held at each of the four FAA bases in the UK to recognise the hard work and commitment of the next generation of FAA engineers. Our partners are invited to sponsor an award and attend the ceremony to present the trophy to the winning Engineer alongside one of the Navy Wings team. The beautiful awards are crafted from Seafire pistons and a vinted Safran helicopter engine, a fitting tribute to these hard-working members of the FAA and for the Senior Engineering Officers to recognise the commitment of their best junior Ratings.
We have been blown away by the winners who have all been selected, showing the true values of the FAA and all those who have been honoured to serve before them. The awards offer the next generation a chance to connect with their FAA past and the importance of the support of industry partners in their future.

Social Events
In the spring Navy Wings hosted the annual Swordfish Golf Tournament at Bowood Golf course and Spa in Wiltshire. Our corporate partners and some invited guests put in 22 teams this year and enjoyed the very best of the British springtime with glorious sunshine all day. The course, as always, was in beautiful condition and our teams played a relaxed and sociable round on the PGA course followed by a fly past from the Navy Wings Swordfish.
We have a real mix of golfing abilities amongst the competitors who enjoyed a welcome chance to spend time with colleagues and friends, making the day a great success and raising nearly £2,000 for Navy Wings. The team at Bowood always look after our guests with their exceptional hospitality in a truly stunning venue which always makes for a thoroughly enjoyable day for our corporate partners.
