The eagerly anticipated launch of Volume 2 of Steve Bond’s Fleet Air Arm Boys series, took place at the Fleet Air Arm Museum on Saturday 17th July.
Steve Bond and eight Fleet Air Arm veterans, representing all disciplines, signed books for the hundreds who attended.
It was a much appreciated opportunity for veterans from across many decades to meet old section, ship or squadron mates.
“It was a superb day, thoroughly enjoyed it and met so many old comrades.”
“I have not been to an event in recent years where I have met so many of my old shipmates.”
“Very many thanks for the brilliant launch yesterday at Yeovilton and all your efforts on our behalf. Met a few of my old mates and it was great to meet you as well. Looking forward to Vol 3!!”
Our thanks to Steve Bond who has done so much to promote that unique fraternity, the Fleet Air Arm, and also capture these vital and memories for posterity.
Thanks also to John Davies of Grub Street Publishing and to the Fleet Air Arm Museum for their enthusiastic support and to speakers Kim Sharman and Robin Trewinnard-Boyle for their fascinating and entertaining presentations on flying from carriers in the Cold War and the UK’s part in the development of the F35.
Everyone is now looking forward to the arrival of Volume 3 next summer and preparations are already afoot for Volume 4.
The books are currently only available in the UK from he link below (there is only a limited supply of signed copies left!)
